Women’s Group raises money for new Pre-School

The Annamalai Women’s Micro-Credit members are all from a poor, isolated, rural area outside of Kalmunai. There is no pre-school for their children so they decided to build one. They have land that is donated. To date they have raised 6,000 rupees ($60 Canadian) in the community. One local man is donating 7 coconut trees for the roof (thatching). Rose Charities Sri Lanka is donating up to $200 (Canadian) for cement. Not only are the women helping themselves with their small businesses, they are helping their community.
